Pre-Loved Equipment

As a Food Equipment Service supplier dedicated to helping their community, we often come across second-hand equipment that’s too good to scrap and immediately begin looking for good causes that could do with a helping hand.

All equipment is in working, tested condition – some may even be near new. All have been recovered from loving homes, now lost, and in need of a new loving family.

We escalate all equipment requests to our CSR committee to determine if we can meet the customer’s needs (and needs are sufficient) and will aim to respond with 3-5 working days.

If you’re interested in requesting any equipment, please contact csr@mcft.com

Carbon Neutral

Heart of England Forest

As part of our CSR programme, MCFT has set up a carbon offset programme to counter balance some of the energy used in running the business. Our engineers are out on the road on a daily basis and we strive to compensate for their CO2 emissions as much as possible. MCFT donations have enabled Heart of England Forest to establish and manage 20.76 acres of Forest, which equates to 18,661 trees, making the company fully carbon neutral.

Since 2011, MCFT have donated over £56,000 and have been a dedicated friend of the Heart of England Forest. The forest stretches across Warwickshire in the heart of England – from the ancient Forest of Arden, south to the edge of the Vale of Evesham. It’s an area dense in cities, towns and industry, hence creating a place to walk under shady canopies and through airy glades, away from the bustle of city life.

In 2023 our donations have been recognised, by offering MCFT “Planting Partner” level of support. This level of support provides funding for the charity which enables the Heart of England Forest to drive progress forward, delivering tangible impact by helping grow the Forest, ensuring tree health and maintenance, optimising habitats that benefit the environment as well as wildlife, and supporting public access to enjoy the woodlands.

Charitable Support

We are passionate about donating to charities that are important to our People, through 4x5, wage contributions, and yearly/monthly drives.

In keeping with previous years, we are pleased to report on our ESG activities over the course of 2023. Regular readers will know that, in compiling the report, we have regard to guidelines from the Global Compact and BITC as well as ISO26000 and its 7 core subjects; we have a further change of presentation this year, as we take onboard the developing framework of ESG reporting (thankyou EcoVadis, Net Positive, Kate Raworth and Ellen McArthur); under a new title, our long-held commitment has not varied, merely grown.

James from The Star Of Greenwich visited us in Maidenhead, to collect some pre-loved equipment donated by MCFT. We are really pleased to have helped and great to see it off to a new home. When The Star reached out to us, we we're excited to help. Donating pre-loved equipment is very important to us, by repurposing and recycling, we're not just saving resources but also supporting local community causes, providing them with kit that could of cost them thousands.
