Current Awards

In 2025, MCFT achieved an overall EcoVadis score of 68/100, placing the business in the 80th percentile globally and earning a Bronze Medal. This result positions MCFT in the “Advanced” performance category, reflecting a structured, proactive approach to sustainability with clear evidence of effective action across key ESG themes. 

MCFT’s performance compares strongly against peers. Our overall score is significantly above the global average for medium-sized companies and exceeds the European average. Only 19% of companies assessed globally achieve an “Advanced” rating, placing MCFT among a leading group of sustainability performers. 

Environmental performance was a particular strength, with a score of 83/100, rated as “Outstanding”. This reflects a robust environmental management framework, underpinned by comprehensive policies, clear objectives and risk controls. MCFT achieved a perfect score for environmental policies, demonstrating strong governance and external alignment.

We’re proud to be named the #1 SME Apprenticeship Employer in the Top 50 for 2025 by the Department for Education! This prestigious recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to addressing the skills shortage in commercial catering and refrigeration engineering.

We've invested in a top-tier training facility and developed a dedicated group of in-house technical trainers. Our goal is to create the best hands-on learning environment, where people can earn while they learn and build rewarding, long-term careers in the industry.

MCFT is proud to announce we have been awarded Platinum membership to the 5% club. Having achieved Gold Membership in three consecutive years, and in year three, in excess of 10% of our workforce on earn & learn schemes.

The 5% Club recognises the UK’s leading employers of apprentices, graduates and degree placement students – and provides invaluable benchmarking information for apprenticeship managers, graduate recruiters and senior management.

We are proud to have been named Community Engagement Award Winner at the LCL Awards 2026. This award recognises organisations making a positive impact within their local communities by promoting skills development, sustainability and career opportunities.

Our award-winning Pre-loved Equipment Programme, which sees apprentices refurbish unwanted commercial catering equipment before donating it to charities and community organisations, reflects our commitment to creating opportunities while reducing waste. It highlights the values that drive MCFT every day—supporting people, protecting the environment and giving back to the communities we serve.

We are proud to have been named Service & Maintenance Provider of the Year at the Catering Insight Awards 2025. Collected by our UK & Ireland Managing Director, Andrew Richman, the award recognises MCFT’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable commercial kitchen maintenance.
