International Women in Engineering Day 2025

Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day

On Monday 23rd June, we proudly celebrated the incredible female engineers in our industry—their dedication, innovation, and resilience continue to shape the future of engineering. Hear from one of our amazing MCFT engineers, Brooke, as she shares an inspiring message for those considering a career in this field.

In 2021, only 16.5% of engineers were women — a clear sign that there is still significant progress to be made in achieving gender balance in the industry. Despite growing awareness and efforts to encourage more women into STEM fields, engineering remains one of the least gender-diverse professions. Bridging this gap requires not only early engagement through education but also inclusive workplace cultures, visible role models, and continued support for women at every stage of their careers.

As we work toward a more inclusive future, it's essential to continue challenging stereotypes, supporting female talent, and celebrating the contributions of women in engineering - every step forward helps shape a stronger, more diverse industry for the next generation.
