Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
The secret to minimising breakdowns is to look after your equipment, and the best way to look after your kitchen, keep it running, efficient and compliant is via a proper Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule, at MCFT we follow the international SFG20 industry benchmark to ensure all tasks are completed and documented, with comprehensive reports available, to ensure you are aware what works are required, recommended and why.
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) is a proactive approach to maintaining equipment, ensuring it operates efficiently and reliably. It extends the life of assets, reduces unexpected breakdowns, and minimizes operational disruptions, such as lost sales or increased costs from manual workarounds. Proper PPM can also enhance performance, lower energy bills, and prevent safety risks, aligning with legal requirements like the UK’s PUWER regulations. By investing in qualified technicians and thorough maintenance practices, businesses save significantly in the long run, both financially and reputationally.

Effective kitchen operations rely on more than reactive support, they rely on having clear visibility of your assets, maintenance activity, and operational performance. That’s why we developed IRIS, MCFT’s digital asset management platform built specifically for the foodservice industry.
IRIS gives customers a centralised platform to manage and monitor their equipment estate in real time. Designed around commercial kitchen environments, IRIS provides greater transparency, faster communication, and improved operational oversight. Whether managing a single combi-oven or a multi-site estate, the platform helps businesses track equipment performance, reduce downtime, and make more informed decisions around their assets and maintenance activity.
