MCFT Supporting Community Pub The Plough, Longparish

At the start of 2021 MCFT partnered with the Plunkett Trust, a scheme to support community led projects. We were approached by the Plough at Longparish to see whether we could assist with donating Kitchen Equipment.

The team at The Plough in Longparish were absolutely delighted to have received a donation of really excellent kitchen equipment from MCFT for our new trade kitchen.

In 2021 The Plough was bought and refurbished by the local community, in time to open by the end of the summer. Saving the Plough has been a labour of love and, of course, we’ve had to keep a tight rein on the budget, so to receive a donation of kitchen equipment of this quality has given us an enormous boost. We are extremely grateful.

Thanks so much to everyone at MCFT. Please do drop in for a beer if you’re ever in Longparish!

Many thanks for your very generous donations - Andy Jolliffe, Chairman, Longparish Community Pub Limited

A big thank you to CBRE who have donated us the kit we have given the equipment a second chance, saves scrapping the units.

The Plough has had its doors closed throughout Covid times with the aim to be back open and servicing again in the Summer of 2021. This great destination pub has been missed by the local Longparish before the community led group took on the project to get the doors back open.

The Plunkett Trust has allowed MCFT to partner with community based organisations and really make a difference to local communities.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for supplying the Plough with all this equipment. It is a massive help as the budget is getting tighter and tighter as we find more areas of concern inside the old building. – Mark Reynolds

I’d like to add my personal note to say how delighted and grateful we all are for your very kind and generous donations.
The equipment we have received looks like it is not only in excellent serviceable condition, and has clearly saved us a huge amount of money at a time when we’re closely watching every penny we spend; it is also clearly top of the range product as well, and so much better than anything we could have hoped to acquire if we had being buying this for our kitchen.

Just this afternoon, our chef (who starts at the end of August) paid us a visit and was amazed to see what we have received.

Thank you! - Andy Jolliffe, Chairman, Longparish Community Pub Limited
