We often see “domestic” microwave ovens in commercial kitchens – and no reason why not – effective and cheap.

The issue is that there’s not a lot we can do in the way of useful preventative maintenance – nor of repairs – it’s ALWAYS cheaper and faster to replace rather than repair.

The only practical tasks we can carry out is a safety check – electrical and radiation – that’s it.

Consequently, when required to provide cover (some customers simply include in their separate PAT testing regime) :

• We will Asset tag
• We identify these differently – Domestic vs Commercial
• On PPM visits, we will simply carry out electrical and radiation tests
• And the allotted service time is also different.
• We will not respond to callouts – if it breaks, buy a new one!
