2025 International Mentoring Day

We spoke to Colin - Refrigeration Training Lead, and James - Apprentice Engineer, about the importance of mentorship and how it plays a key role in guiding our trainees on their journey to becoming world-class engineers.

Colin shared:

"A refrigeration trainee in the field is never alone—every challenge they face is an opportunity to learn, supported by the guidance of experienced mentors, the strength of their team, and the knowledge that every mistake is a step closer to mastery.

The invaluable role of mentorship in shaping the next generation of skilled technicians. The journey doesn’t end after the academy it's just the beginning. Through ongoing guidance, shared wisdom, and unwavering support in the field, mentors empower technicians to grow in confidence and expertise, ensuring they succeed and thrive in their careers".

James shared:

"Colin is a huge help and a great mentor, if I am struggling with certain topics he explains in simple terms and is always there when needed".

We are excited to be recruiting and training the next generation of technicians. Through hands-on training and continuous mentorship, we provide our apprentices with the 'tools' they need to become world-class engineers.
