Helping to develop facilities management standards
Chris has been invited to join a working group for BSI (British Standards Institution), helping to develop industry wide facilities management standards.
BSI utilise the skills of industry experts in order to develop new standards. Their remit is "to engage, value and recognize committee members and other experts and create a productive network of people with the knowledge, skills and resources to make world-class standards."
The role of a voluntary committee member is “to actively contribute to standards-making by providing pro bono expertise to the committee(s) on which you serve.”
Facilities Management standards
After 15 years work, ISO 41001 Facilities Management was launched in April 2018.
CEO Chris Craggs is delighted to have joined FMW/1, the UK national Technical committee that contributes experts to ISO/tC 267 steering and developing this standard, and is greatly looking forward to contributing, especially from the perspective of the FM Supply Chain.
“I am honoured to join pre-eminent figures in the profession and am particularly looking forward to working with Stan Mitchell, who has done so much personally to deliver this globally important standard. There’s a terrific opportunity to expand the scope of the standard to include the Supply Chain – and we have useful experience around the world to contribute.”
