Introducing overseas student programme to BIFM
We were recently invited to take part in a BIFM ISIG (British Institute of Facilities Managment International Special Interest Group), talking about student placements. It was a pleasure to take Terence and Maarten, both from the Netherlands to talk about their experiences with MCFT.
Managing Director Mark Brooker introduced the philosophy of taking students from both Breda University of Applied Sciences and Hanze University of Applied Sciences, each of whom have international facilities management courses.
Terence Horsmann is a Hanze Graduate who returned to MCFT after his internship. Maarten De Groenendijk is an intern doing a 6 month placement in the sales and marketing department. They both shared their stories with the assembled group.
Marianne Korbijn-Bossers, International Placement Co-ordinator of International Facility Management said:
"We would like to thank you once again for your support, organisation and effort to make the presentation and the event to a great success last Monday, thank you so much! We really appreciate it that you gave us the opportunity to meet people who are interested in our international programme of Facility Management and might be interested in cooperating with us as well."
